  • We secure keys with segregated storage, server-side encryption, and multi-region redundancy.
Hot storage
  • Store keys online, sharded and double-encrypted in an AWS Nitro Enclave, for recovery through CoinCover Control.
Cold storage
  • We can hold private keys offline in FIPS-140-2 Level 3 certified tamper-proof devices.
  • Keys are held in strategically-located secure vaults, and guarded by physical security and surveillance.
Ultra-secure generation
  • Keys are created, sharded, and encrypted in pairs, using AES-256.
  • Access requires confirmation from multiple approved and vetted staff.

How is Recover for Institutions an improvement over backing up our key material in-house?

Are we introducing new security vulnerabilities using a third party to manage recoveries?
